Baseball Coaching
Baseball coaching can range from little league teams, to middle and high school jobs, to high ranking positions in college baseball and the minor or major leagues. Baseball coaching is usually considered by those that have experience playing the game. Baseball coaching requires leadership skills and an ability to motivate.
If you are interested in baseball coaching as a hobby, and not a career, then little league coaching may be the way to go. These are usually voluntary positions and don’t take up as much time per week as higher level coaching positions. It can be a way to have fun with a sport while teaching responsibility and values to the next generation.

If you are looking to make a career out of baseball coaching, then coaching a school team may be for you. If you have no prior experience coaching a baseball team then you may have to start out at a small middle or high school and work your way up from there over several years. Coaching at a university, in a minor league, or in a major league will all bring recognition, but will also require a coach that has the proven skills to fit the bill.
Baseball coaching, especially when kids are involved, is a job where you must be a good teacher as well as a motivating leader. It involves teaching skills such as discipline, time organization, leadership, working with others, and losing graciously. However, keep in mind that if you are to teach these skills, you must also possess them yourself.
